Are bicycle and pedestrian accommodations being considered for Sunrise Drive?

Proposed improvements to the Sunrise Drive structure do not currently include widening. Proposed improvements include new pavement marking on the bridge and installation of a fence on the new parapet walls to improve existing bicycle and pedestrian accomodations.

Will new right of way be required?

We do not currently anticipate any new right of way for this project.

When will construction begin and how long will it take?

Construction of westbound WIS 29 is anticipated to begin in 2014 and will extend into 2015. Construction of eastbound WIS 29 is anticipated to begin in 2015 and extend into 2016.

The proposed improvements to the Sunrise Drive structure will be completed in one construction season (most likely in 2014 or 2015).
