July 19, 2010 - Public information meeting (PIM) exhibits (alternatives)

East segment

  • E-1, Highland Road intersection (365 KB)
    • Diamond interchange west of County TT that connects Highland Road on the western edge of the Sheboygan County Memorial Airport, north of WIS 23, with Sunset Road south of WIS 23. A new bridge spanning the Sheboygan River would be required. Sunset Road north of WIS 23 would be connected to the new interchange crossroad. An overpass would be constructed at the existing County TT intersection with WIS 23 and the Meadowlark Road intersection would be closed. Intersection closures and overpasses shown in Alternative EC-1 would be required with this alternative.
  • E-2, County TT intersection (316 KB)
    • Partial clover leaf interchange at the location of the existing County TT intersection. Due to proximity with the WIS 23 auxiliary lanes on WIS 23 may be required and new bridges would be required at the existing Sheboygan River crossing of WIS 23 to provide the width necessary for the ramps. Intersection closures and overpasses shown in Alternative EC-1 would be required with this alternative.
  • E-3, Bridgewood Road intersection
    • Diamond interchange just to the west of the existing Bridgewood Road intersection. Most of the new interchange crossroad would be constructed on new alignment connecting County C on the south end to County O on the north end. A new bridge spanning the Sheboygan River would be required. Existing Sunset road would be rerouted to the north to a connection with Hillside Road. Intersection closures and overpass shown in Alternative EC-1 would be required.

East central segment

  • EC-1 (261 KB)
    • Requires construction of overpasses at Willow Road and County M. This also requires the closure of the Hillside and Bridgewood Road intersections. Many of the elements of this alternative would be used in the various Eastern segment interchange alternatives and may be implemented prior to the construction of an interchange shown in those alternatives.

West segment

  • W-2 (307 KB)
    • North of WIS 23, reroute the existing County P to a connection with County C. The western half of the alternative closely follows the existing Branch Road alignment. The eastern half of the alternative is on new alignment to a connection with County C. Requires the closure of the existing County P intersection north of WIS 23.
    • South of WIS 23, extend Branch Road to a western intersection with Pioneer Road and extends Branch Road to an eastern intersection with County C. Access to Inez Court is rerouted to an intersection with the western extension of Branch Road. Requires the closure of the existing Pioneer Road, Inez Court and Branch Road intersections south of WIS 23.
    • Both the north and south are not dependent on each other and can be combined with other north and south alternatives shown in other West segment alternatives.
  • W-4 (269 KB)
    • North of WIS 23, reroute County P down Valley lane and extends Valley Lane to the east to an intersection with County C. Requires the closure of the existing County P intersection north of WIS 23.
    • South of WIS 23, create a new roadway connecting Pioneer Road to Linda Lane providing access from Pioneer Road to County C. Inez Court and Branch Road are extended to intersections with the new connector roadway. Requires the closure of the existing Pioneer Road, Inez Court and Branch Road intersections south of WIS 23.
    • Both the north and south are not dependent on each other and can be combined with other north and south alternatives shown in other West segment alternatives.

West central segment

  • WC-1 (396 KB)
    • Connector roadway from the existing Kiley Way and Pleasant Valley Road intersection to WIS 67. A new bridge would be required to span the Mullet River. Requires the closure of the County O/OJ intersection, the Pleasant View Road intersection and a new overpass at County E.
  • WC-2 (377 KB)
    • Connector roadway from the existing Kiley Way and Pleasant Valley Road intersection to County O. An overpass is constructed at County E and a north connector roadway is constructed between County E and WIS 67. Requires the closure of the County O/OJ intersection and the Pleasant View Road intersection.
