Project overview

Replace 1.4 miles of roadway and upgrade storm sewer system. Improvement of roadway within project limits.

Belknap St. serves as both an urban principal arterial and a connecting highway. It is part of the over-size/overweight truck route connecting US 2 and US 53 with regional routes.

Planning started 2011

Project cost estimated at $7-12 million depending on city streetscape choices and utilities work added.

Status/phase

Design with construction scheduled to start and be completed 2016.
