The Osceola Intersection (WIS 35/WIS 243/County M) Study - Need/purpose

Why is this project needed?

WIS 35 is the main thoroughfare in the village of Osceola. It is a principle arterial which has significant local and regional importance to the transportation system.

Currently, WIS 35 operates at a low level of service during peak travel times, causing delays and safety concerns.

Project benefits

Re-aligning the intersection is part of both the short-term solution of adapting exiting roadways to meet the needs of traffic and long-term goal of providing improved mobility in and around the village.

The goal of the alternative methods of realigning the roadways is to increase the flow of traffic and create a safer environment for motorists and pedestrians.
