Federal economic recovery projects

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 provided Wisconsin with many opportunities to create jobs, address challenges, and bring the nation back to economic health. The Act includes provisions to make unprecedented investments in Wisconsin’s transportation infrastructure.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) coordinated with transportation interests to quickly identify projects eligible for recovery funding and get projects underway to provide immediate job opportunities and long-term benefits to communities.
