Wisconsin Rail Plan 2030

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is developing a statewide rail plan that will provide a vision for freight rail, intercity passenger rail and commuter rail over the next 20 years. 

The plan identifies rail network issues and recommendations. It provides the framework within which the state and stakeholders may maintain, improve and plan for the state's rail network.

What’s new?

The completion of the Wisconsin Rail Plan 2030 has been postponed until further notice.

WisDOT released a draft of the Wisconsin Rail Plan 2030 on October 1, 2010. Additional information is available on the public involvement page.

Also available is a Wisconsin Rail Plan 2030 newsletter PDF summarizing the planning process and the draft plan.
