US 12/Phillips Blvd. (Lueders Rd.-Water St.) - Need/purpose

Why is this project needed?

• Pavement deterioration
• Safety risks at intersections
• Improve traffic flow through the area

Project benefits

• Improve intersection safety with installation of a new traffic signal at the Lueders Rd. intersection.
• Increase motorist safety with addition of two lanes (one in each direction).
• Expansion of the Madison St. intersection to provide a protected left turn lane.
