Project location

I-39/90, Dane/Rock County line - US 12/18 (Madison), in Dane County.

Project overview

This segment extends 21 miles along I-39/90, and is one of three segments of the I-39/90 Project.

North segment to reconstruct and expand the Interstate to six lanes between the Dane/Rock County line to US 12/18 near Madison.

The interchanges within this segment (US 51/WIS 73, US 51, County N and US 12/18) will be reconstructed to address roadway and capacity deficiencies. Grade separated crossings along the segment are also included in the reconstruction.

Project scheduled to start in 2015 and scheduled to be completed in 2021.

Status/phase

Design with no construction activity at this time. Public meetings to be conducted throughout the segment area.
