Project overview

This segment extends 12 miles along I-39/90, and is one of three segments of the I-39/90 Project.

South segment to reconstruct and expand the Interstate to six lanes, Illinois state line to WIS 11 (Avalon Rd.) and eight lanes, WIS 11 (Avalon Rd.) to County O, south of Janesville.

Interchanges within this segment (WIS 11 (west), County S (Shopiere Rd.), and I-43) to be reconstructed to address deficiencies. Grade separated crossings along the segment are also included in the reconstruction.

Status/phase

Design with no construction activity at this time. Public meetings to be conducted throughout the segment area.
