Summary of local road traffic counts

Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) took additional traffic counts in 2008, mainly to provide accurate data on the local roads affected by US 18/151 Freeway Conversion. Traffic was not counted on roads where levels of traffic were extremely low.

Where traffic data is available for more than one year, the two most recent counts are shown in the table in order to demonstrate the change in traffic from one count year to the next.

WisDOT adjusts the count data with area-specific factors to create an estimate of traffic on each roadway on an average day.

Note: WisDOT counts county roads over 5,000 average annual daily traffic (ADDT) every six years. Those under 5,000 are counted every ten years.
