US 53 Corridor Preservation Study - Spooner/Trego Area (WIS 70 to Lampson)

Project overview

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a Corridor Preservation Study, along US 53 from WIS 70 to Lampson, due to increased traffic and development along US 53.

The increased capacity is creating operational and safety issues along the corridor. Most of the problem areas are located at higher volume at-grade (i.e. stop sign) intersections, such as the intersections for Spooner and Trego.

A completed Corridor Preservation Study will provide a blue-print by which local development can be planned and implemented in harmony with the operational demands of the highway.
