WIS 50 (I-43 to WIS 67) Corridor - Environmental documents

Environmental Assessment (EA)

An EA will be prepared for the WIS 50 study. It documents the need for proposed improvements, the alternatives that were considered and their impacts.

An EA is required by the National and Wisconsin Environmental Policy Acts (NEPA and WEPA) for projects with potentially significant social, economic, natural resource and other impacts.

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is the lead agency for the EA, which will be prepared in accordance with FHWA guidelines.

The EA will be available for public review and comment in the fall of 2012.
