Today, the State Patrol Air Support Unit has Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft based in Madison, Eau Claire and Green Bay ready to fly missions statewide. In addition to traffic enforcement, officers in aircraft have a tremendous vantage point for surveillance, search and rescue, and other missions.
