Rustic Road 89

Location:  Dunn County.  Portions of Hofland Road, 410th Street and 420th Street between County P and 370th Avenue, the town line road.

Length:  5.3 miles

Surface:  Paved

This scenic road winds south from Menomonie through the bluffs of the Red Cedar River. R-89 parallels the Red Cedar Bike Trail; once a railroad bed, now a popular recreation trail. Halfway along the route is Devil’s Punch Bowl—a miniature canyon with a small waterfall created by the last glacier 12,000 years ago—now a 2.9 acre scientific area.
